Sri. Aditya Udupa-Vocal
Aditya Udupa got his initial training under his grandmother Smt. Rukmini Udupa. Basic
Hindustani classical vocal from Sri Shankar, Hassan. He is presently undergoing vocal
training from Suramani Dattatreya L Velankar since 2005. Completed Engineering in Electronics and Communication in University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bengaluru. Gained corporate environment experience by working in Accenture for 2 years after Engineering.
B – Grade artiste of All India Radio in Devaranaama, a recipient of the scholarship given by Karnataka government and SurSagar, Bengaluru. Took part in Indo-China Hindustani
classical competition conducted by the government of India and stood 2nd place . Performed in many places to name a few – Shadja Kalakendra Bengaluru, Shadja Kalakendra Calicut, Baithak -Gururao Deshpande Sangeet Sabha Bengaluru, Malappuram Kerala, Sangeetha Krupa kuteera Bengaluru, Kappanna Angala Bengaluru.
Sri. Ajit Subrahmanian-Vocal
Born in a music loving family in Jabalpur Madhyapradesh, Ajit showed interest in music from an early age. He started training in tabla from guru Shri Swathantra Kumar Savita, who also encouraged him to learn Hindustani Vocal. He took his initial training in Hindustani Vocal under the guidance of Surmani Shri Kuljit Singh Sanger from Jabalpur. He has completed Sangeeth Prabhakar in Tabla and Hindustani Vocal from Prayag Sangeet Samiti- Allahabad.
At present, he has been undertaking advanced training under the tutelage of Surmani Pt
Dattatreya Velankar for over a decade in gurukula tradition. He has also been fortunate to accompany guru Shri Dattatreya Velankar on Harmonium for many of his concerts and imbibed the nuances of classical vocal.
Ajit has in performed many concerts to name a few, Sangeet Nataka Academy Govt. of
Kerala, Baithak at Gururaro Deshpande sangeet sabha, Bengaluru Shadja Kala Kendra
Bengaluru, Shadja Calicut, 8point art café Kollam, Dhwani, Vaishnavi Natyashala, and Kala Milan Bengaluru.
Ajit performed Vocal for Vidushi Nandini Mehta and troup, a well-known Kathak exponent.
He also has two classical vocal albums- Pehli Dhun and Bhavitavya to his credit.
Ajit is currently working as a senior faculty of music at Shankar Mahadevan Academy.
Ms. Vandya Bhat-Vocal
Vandya Bhat, daughter of Chempi Umesh Bhat & Lakshmi Bhat grew up in a family where music and mythology is given utmost importance. Born in Bangalore, she completed her BBM degree at Center for Management studies, Jain University. From a tender age, she has been nurtured with the habit of singing bhajans and shlokas. She took her initial training in Hindustani classical music from Ajit Subramanian and is currently learning from Surmani Pt Dattatreya Velankar. Sri. Yogeesh Bhat-Vocal
Yogeesh Bhat born in a musical family and hails from Sagar, Shimoga district Karnataka. He has strong inclination towards Hindustani Classical Music and have been undertaking training for vocal and Musical instruments such as Tabla and violin from past 12 years. Completed Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical Engineering from Sri Venkateshwara college of Engineering ,Bengaluru.
Yogeesh Bhat receiving advanced vocal training from Surmani Pt Dattatreya Velankar for
past two years and he has been teaching Tabla and vocal at Shadja Kala Kendra trust
Bengaluru. Scholarships have been awarded from music organizations such as Sri Rama Kala Vedike and SurSagar, Bengaluru.
Sri. Vikas Naregal-Tabla
Sri. Vikas Naregal from Bengaluru, a Graded artist of AIR Bengaluru, started showing interest towards the art of Tabla at the age of 8 (born on 16th April 1982). He was motivated and highly encouraged by his parents Mohan Naregal and Anuradha Naregal. He comes from a family of musical background. His maternal grandfather, Late. Ramachandra Desai was a famous Harmonium player, vocalist and a noted music teacher at Hubli.
Vikas Naregal started his initial tutelage under Pt. Hire Gowdar, continued with Pt. Vishwanath Nakod, Pt. Sheshagiri Hangal and Pt. M. Nagesh. Later met his guru Tabla maestro Pt. Ravindra Yavagal with him he is learning skills to inculcate Ustad Tirakhwara sule of Tabla from past 12 years. He has also got encouragement by Veena Kulkarni and Ragunath Naik.
Vikas Naregal has accompanied many renowned Hindustani vocalists like Pt. Vinyak Torvi, Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Pt. Parameshwar Hegde, Pt. Jayateerth Mevundi, Vid.Sangeetha Katti Kulkarni and many upcoming Hindustani vocalists. He has also accompanied many famous instrumentalist like Pt. Vasanth Kankapur, Pt. Narasimhulu Vadivatu. Pt. Ravidra Katoti, Pt. Shylesh Bhagawath and has given able support to many upcoming artists.
